Mai 1996, ereignete sich in den USA ein katastrophaler Gefahrgut-Unfall: Ein Passagier-Flugzeug der damaligen Fluggesellschaft ValuJet geriet in Brand und st\u00fcrzte mit 110 Menschen an Bord in die Everglades. Es gab keine \u00dcberlebenden&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Eine halbe Milliarde \u20ac&#8230;<\/mark><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Haben Sie (hat Ihr Unternehmen) eine halbe Milliarde \u20ac f\u00fcr einen solchen kapitalen Gefahrgut-Gro\u00dfschaden?<br>Sicher nicht &#8211; und Ihr Schadenversicherer auch nicht\u2026<br>Vor 30 Jahren, am 11. Mai 1996, sind bei diesem Gefahrgut-Unfall jedoch solche Summen in Rauch aufgegangen &#8211; von den 110 verlorenen Menschenleben erst gar nicht zu reden.<br>Nach einem Bericht des Miami Herald leisteten die Haftpflichtversicherer allein f\u00fcr die Hinterbliebenen der Absturzopfer insgesamt Zahlungen von damals 262 mio. US Dollar. Diese Summe entspricht in etwa heutigen 555 Millionen US Dollar &#8211; oder umgerechnet in etwa einer halben Milliarde EUR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Was l\u00e4sst sich aus dem Unfall lernen?<\/mark><\/strong><\/mark><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dieser Gefahrgut-Unfall z\u00e4hlt bis heute zu den sicher am besten untersuchten Gefahrgut-Unf\u00e4llen weltweit.
